"Gimme Thrive" Brookies

Description:

Can't decide between making chocolate chip cookies and brownies? Compromise by making a cookie that tastes like both! (For more chocolate-y flavor, add 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips to the brownie batter as well!)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Using the butter, 2 1/2 Tbsp. of water, and chocolate chips to prepare the Classic Cookie Dough Mix (per the can instructions). Set aside.
  3. Prepare the brownie dough by mixing the brownie mix with the 1/3 cup water.
  4. Use a large cookie scoop and fill one side of it with the cookie dough using your fingers to fill in half the scoop. Fill the other half with the brownie dough by scoop the empty side into it, using your fingers to make the halves fairly even.
  5. Scoop out onto cookie sheet and flatten slightly. Place them at least 2" apart.
  6. Bake for 16 minutes, or until cookie just begins to turn a little brown along the classic cookie edge.
  7. Allow to rest on the cookie sheet for a few minutes, then use a spatula to remove to a cooling rack to cool for another few minutes.
